Half the price as buying from the car dealers shop on a hard to get part, for the same part! I am very pleased. The customer service with 1A auto is amazing. 1A Auto is always my first go to for video tutorials as well! Thank you 1A Auto! I am very satisfied all the way around so far! Just installed the parts a couple weeks ago, so far so good!

These shocks are probably as good as any other you can buy but I would recommend converting away from air because with the GM air suspension once you start replacing parts of it you dont stop till it's all new all the way around.
Great shocks

Talked with Adam on the phone and he recommended these shocks for my failing 2013 yukon xl Denali. Got them within a few days time and had my mechanic install. He said they were super easy to put in and would be looking to recommend to any of his customers with similar vehicles. Ride is great. Eliminated the "service suspension soon" light. Car stays nice and level. Thanks 1A!

Customer Q&A
How does this retro fit effect ride quality?

The only retro is that these eliminate the speed sensitive dampening system. The sensors are error code eliminators. The ride quality and leveling work the same.

The ride is good but one has to take into consideration that this is a passive system so you won't get the full comfortable adjustable ride of the active system. For the price, it is good.

It's identical! They work great. The rear air system will continue to operate like stock. You only lose electronic dampening with this set but I haven't noticed it. I took my 2001 Tahoe on a fairly lengthy (3 days and 200 miles) off-road trail after the install and had zero issues. You do not want this set if you're trying to get rid of your air ride. That's an entirely different package.

Do I have to replace the front shocks too if I go with this option (the passive shock)? I want to replace only a pair at a time to see if I can fix the leak I suspect I have in the rear shocks.

No you do not. That set only fix the portion of your vehicle.

Right as our wonderful customers have stated you can do them separately and these will service the rear.

No, you can and should do the rears by themselves if you are experiencing a leak. Your fronts aren't connected to your air ride, they only have the dampening feature and have no airlines - only electronic connectors. I've done all four but didn't do the fronts for many months following the rears and only changed them out due to the mileage and wear on the stocks. Hope this helps.

how can you tell if your compressor is still working?
June 16, 2017

You put some weight on the back. If I sit on my rear bumper mine will go off so maybe try that or hook up a trailer to your hitch. The compressor is located behind the driver side rear tire . It's not loud but you can forsure hear it run. Good luck

If these are "passive" air shocks, my question is, what fills them with air? And why need to still use compressor?
April 27, 2018

Yes these are passive air shocks, meaning they will bypass the Autoride system. They will still fill up to level, they will just not adjust due to vehicle speed.

I purchased a 2007 Tahoe LTZ that has these installed to replace the factory air ride, but the compressor is not working. They were brand new when dealer installed them but never hooked air to them. I feel like the rear of the vehicle sits a little l

Hello David! These are still air shocks so you would need to hook them up to the compressor. The only "conversion" in these is the Autoride bypass resistors. This eliminates the Autoride feature that raises and lowers the vehicle based on speed. They will still raise and lower the vehicle to standard height using the level sensors that are already installed on the vehicle. If you are looking for a true air to gas conversion, please check out 1ASRC00009.
