Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video we're going to show you how to replace the battery in your 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 key fob. The items you'll need for this repair are a new battery, a small Phillips head screwdriver and you may need a flat blade screw driver to help pry the case apart.
On the back side of the key is a small Phillips head screw, remove that. You might be able to do this with a finger nail, but ours is kind of stuck together, so I'll put the screwdriver in that little window and twist. Remove the board and remove your battery.
This particular key fob takes a CR2032 battery. Install your new battery. The flat part faces up. Install the board back into the key. Snap the backing into place. Reinstall your Phillips head screw. After replacing your battery check for proper operation of all your key fobs functions, such as the lock, unlock and car alarm.
