How to check and fill your brake fluid on 09 Honda CR-V
Hi. I'm Mike from 1AAuto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
We're going to release the hood, right by this footrest. Grab the lever right there and pull it out. Now, we're going to pull up on the hood. The release is right here. Just push that up. Release the hood, then you can grab the prop rod right here. Pull it up and stick it right there.
Here's your brake fluid reservoir, right here. As you can see, you can check the level. The min level is right there. The max level is right there.
If you were to need to add any, you're going to want to take a rag and wipe off the cap. You don't want any dust in there. And then you can grab the cap, turn it to the left. You can pull up. This vehicle requires DOT 3 brake fluid or DOT 4 brake fluid. You can add the brake fluid right there.
Then when you've done that, take the cap. You're going to line this little tab up over here and then push down and it'll click in place.
Close the hood. We're going to pull the prop rod out and put it back in its holder. Drop the hood.

Len points out some of the things that could go wrong if you want to replace just an inner or outer tie rod alone, and why it just might make sense to replace them both together at the same time!
