How to check and refill the engine coolant on 07 Mini Cooper S
Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years.
What's up, guys? I'm Andy from 1A Auto. Today I'm going to show you how to check your coolant level in this 2007 Mini Cooper S. If you need parts for your vehicle, click the link in the description and head over to 1aauto.com.
Your coolant overflow bottle is located right here. You want to make sure when you check the coolant level that the vehicle is cold. You don't want to be checking this when it's hot.
You can unscrew the cap here, and you can look down inside to see the level. There are some marks on the side of the tank right there. Sometimes you can see them without taking the cap off. You could actually, it helps sometimes to put a flashlight in the reservoir so it illuminates it a little bit. Maybe shake the reservoir a little bit. The MIN line is right here on the bottom. The MAX line is at the top. You want it somewhere in between there.
When your coolant level is really low, you're going to want to top it off with the appropriate coolant that is in your owner's manual. And if it is low, then there could be a possible lead in the system that you would need to further investigate.
To reinstall the cap, just line it up and screw it down. There is no radiator cap in this vehicle. All the coolant to be added would go in this overflow bottle.
