In this video, we're going to show you how to check the fluid level in your front differential on this 2002 Chevy Suburban. The only tools you'll need for this is a 15mm socket and ratchet.
Right here, where your front axle goes in on the driver side, you can see this 15mm bolt. This is your filler cap. You want to just remove this. You're going to see fluid come out because I've just filled this one. Just one note: ours is a 15mm bolt. It could be something different. It could be an Allen bolt or something like that, but once you have the plug out, reach in with your pinkie, and if the fluid's up to the bottom of the hole you're good. If not, add some 80W-90 fluid until it's up there.
