    • If the fuel pressure is not at 55 psi at idle and fluctuates or drops, test the fuel pressure sensor
    • Disconnect the wiring harness
    • Check the wires
    • Back probe the green wire with the gray tracer by inserting a paper clip into the terminal
    • Connect the sensor harness
    • Hook up a voltage meter
    • Voltage should be 3.7 volts at idle
    • If voltage drops, spikes, or does not read, replace fuel pressure sensor

Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years.

Hi, everyone. Sue here at 1A Auto. Today we have an '03 Volvo V70 with a 2.4 liter. We are talking about the trouble code PO192 or 194 fuel pressure sensor.

The fuel pressure sensor is located on the fuel rail, which is right here and that is the pressure sensor. If you have a misfire and you've done a tuneup, and the coils are done, and the problem's not there, or if you have a misfire and you check fuel pressure before you do a tuneup and your fuel pressure is not properly in the proper specs, it should be at 55 psi at idle. If the fluctuates or drops, you want to test your fuel pressure sensor. If you get a meter, there is a gray and green wire on the terminal number four.

We'll disconnect the connector, and we'll look at the wiring harness--the green wire number four with the gray tracer. So I'm going to go with this one right here without taking the harness part. Just double check it before. You can back probe that. Don't cut into the wire. It'd be properly is to put a nice little paper clip down inside the terminal. Don't round it out. Hook it back up. Make sure it locks.

Once you put the click back in, hook up your voltage meter to the clip you have on there, and the voltage should be 3.7 volts at idle. If the voltage drops or spikes or is not reading at all, start with the fuel pressure sensor. Get a quality part. You might have to get a Volvo part for this to work properly. Hope the tip helps you out.
