How to replace a leaking or broken windshield washer hose on 12 Chevy Traverse.
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
So our rear washer hose, we weren't getting any spray out of it. We've traced it up to here, and you can see it kind of lines up with this screw hole and the air box here. Someone had replaced the air filter and then drove the screw right through the hose, so it actually was blocking the hose and then put a nice hole in it. So when we run the rear washer, it squirts washer fluid under the hood.
Now, we could run an entire new hose from the pump all the way to the back, but that's kind of a pain. So what we're going to do is just cut it right here, and then splice it with a plastic hose connector, and that should fix this up. Just take some cutters or scissors and get them in here. Carefully put it on that hose. It's a little tricky. Try to get to the middle of that. That'll catch my finger. Put that away.
Take this plastic splice piece, and grab the bottom hose. It's barbed so it will go in here and seal up. I pushed this plastic barb fitting in there as far as it will go. It's basically already spliced. I'll find the other end that I cut. I'm going to push this in right over the end. Now we've fixed that little hole.
