How to Install Tow Mirrors 2014-19 Chevy Silverado

1. step 1 :Removing the Door Panel 0:06

   • Remove the trim panel behind the door handle
   • Remove the 7mm bolt below the master switch
   • Remove the 7mm bolt behind the door handle
   • Remove the two 7mm bolts in the door pull
   • Remove the 7mm bolts on the bottom of the panel
   • Remove the trim panel in the door pull
   • Pull the panel near the master switch out
   • Pry out the door panel with a door panel clip tool
   • Pull the door panel out
   • Disconnect the door latch cable
   • Disconnect the master switch wiring harness
   • Remove the door panel
   • Remove the window trim

2. step 2 :Removing the Mirror 5:20

   • Disconnect the mirror wiring harness
   • Pull out the wire harness clips
   • Push the wiring rubber grommet through the hole
   • Remove the three 10 mm nuts securing the mirror to the door
   • Pull the mirror away to disengage the retaining clip and remove it

3. step 3 :Installing the Mirror 7:19

   • Pass the mirror wiring through the hole in the door
   • Seat the wiring rubber grommet in place
   • Fit the three mounting studs through the door
   • Replace the three 10 mm nuts and tighten them
   • Press the outer mirror trim in to secure the locking tab
   • Reinstall the mirror wiring in the retaining clip holes
   • Reconnect the mirror electrical connector

4. step 4 :Reinstalling the Door Panel 10:11

   • Reinstall the window trim
   • Connect the master switch wiring harness
   • Connect the door latch cable
   • Remove the window seal from the top of the door panel
   • Remove the window seal retaining clips from the top of the door panel
   • Place the window seal retaining clips on the door frame
   • Place the window seal on the window seal retaining clips
   • Insert the lock rod through the door
   • Lift the door panel into place
   • Push in the door panel clips
   • Replace the 7mm bolt behind the door handle
   • Replace the two 7mm bolts in the door pull
   • Replace the two 7mm bolts at the bottom of the door panel
   • Replace the 7 mm bolt below the master switch
   • Replace the master switch trim panel
   • Replace the trim behind the door handle
   • Replace the trim in the door pull
   • Turn on the vehicle power and test the mirror function

  Flat Blade Screwdriver

  7mm Socket

  10mm Socket

  Ratchet

  Trim Tool Set
