Hey, everybody. I'm Brian.
I want to go ahead and talk to you a little bit about VIN number location on your vehicle. Chances are you're going to have three different locations that you can get this VIN number.
The first location is at the base of the windshield. It's going to be a series of numbers and letters at the base of the driver side windshield that will help identify that vehicle.
The second location may be on your registration or the title for the application.
The third location is going to be on the driver side door jamb.
The reason you want to go ahead and verify VIN numbers from the door to the windshield is, say a scenario, you purchase a product for your vehicle that is VIN dependent. You happen to get the wrong part; you check. You re-purchase or you get a replacement part shipped out to you and it's still the wrong part.
There's a possibility that that driver side door may have been replaced or repaired at one time, and that VIN number was not corrected. You want to go ahead and verify that VIN number to the base of the windshield and/or your registration to ensure a correct part replacement.
