In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and reinstall the door panel on this 2008 Dodge Caliber. The tools you'll need for this is a flat blade screwdriver, 10mm socket and ratchet and T20, T25 Torx bit. Start off by prying off the triangular panel and the small panel under the door handle. The screw cover in your pull cup. Right here, there's a T25 Torx bolt and right here there's a T20. We'll just fast forward as Don removes both of these. On the bottom of your door panel, there's two 10mm bolts and you just want to go ahead and remove those. Now pry off your speaker cover. Underneath your speaker, you'll see another 10mm bolt, go ahead and remove that. In the top right corner of your speaker, on the bottom left corner is two long screws and these are both T20s, you want to go ahead and remove those. Then you can remove the two other screws, which are both T20s as well.
Once the screws are removed, you can pull the speaker out. Just push on the tab on the harness and pull it free. Next you want to pry out this panel here and once you get it started you can reach back behind it and pull the clips out. Disconnect these three harnesses by just pushing on the tab and pulling the harnesses free. Then just pop this clip out of its bracket. Now remove this 10mm bolt right here. Right here, there are three T20 Torx bolts that hold your window motor in place, you just want to go ahead and remove those. We'll just fast forward as Don does this.
Pull this bracket forward and it will unclip from the door panel and you can lift your door panel up and off. Back behind here, on your door handle rod, you'll see this yellow clip, just push that off and you can lift the handle rod up and out. Pull these harnesses for that bracket and the door panel is free. Now to reconnect the door panel, feed the harnesses back up through the door and reclip them into that bracket. Put the door handle rod back into place and reclip it. Now just line the door panel up and put it down over that lock. Hang it down into the windowsill, replace that bracket into the door panel and then replace those three T20 bolts into your window motor. Reconnect your speaker and put into place and replace those four T20 bolts. Then replace that 10mm bolt underneath the speaker and replace your speaker cover. Replace the 10mm bolt right here.
Reconnect this clip and then reconnect your switch pack. Then line up this panel, make sure all the clips are in place and once you've got it lined up, just hit into place. Replace that T20 bolt in the pull cup. We'll fast forward as he replaces the T25 under the door handle and those two 10mm bolts at the bottom of the door panel. Replace the screw cover in the pull cup, the panel underneath the door handle and your triangular panel and then you're all set.
