Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and replace the rear door panel on this 1998 Honda Civic. The only tools you're going to need for this is a flat blade screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver.
Start off by prying off your pull handle panel. Behind here there are two Phillips screws: one here and one here. You want to remove this Phillips screw up here as well. We'll just fast-forward as Don removes those. Now disconnect this harness by just pushing on the tab and pulling it out. Then pull back on your door handle and it pulls out. You just want to pry this clip off your door handle rod and then push your door handle down and out. Now pry out around the edges of your door handle to release the clips. Then your door handle just lifts up and off.
To replace your door panel, just lift it up onto the window sill, push it down over the lock, and then into place. Now just hit in the clips around the edges, reconnect your harness, put the door handle rod down into the hole on the door handle, and then push that clip back onto the rod. Push your door handle into place and then slide it back. Now we'll fast-forward as Don replaces those three Phillips screws. Snap your door pull handle panel back into place and you're all set.
