Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the third brake light on this 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo. The only tools you'll need are a 7mm socket and ratchet.
On the inside of your trunk you want to remove these three 7mm bolts. We'll fast-forward as Mike does that. Now, push in these two tabs. Pull the third brake light down. Then just pry out on this tab and pull the harness free. If you wanted to service the LED's for any reason, you will just pull back on these tabs, and then pull the cover off. Then it just pushes back into place.
Then take your third brake light, reconnect the harness, and push it back up into place. You want to double check and make sure it's in their flush. You can see that it is. Then, you just place those three 7mm bolts. You're all set.
