Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we show you how to replace and AC condenser fan. The fan in this vehicle is fine, so we just take it out and put it back in to show you how to do it. We're doing this on a '97 Buick LeSabre, and this fan is really the same for a lot of different GM cars: LeSabre, Olds '88, Pontiac Bonneville as well. You'll need a 10mm socket with a ratchet, and a flat blade screwdriver.

We start at the bottom. There's a few 10 mm bolts that hold the back of the splash pan up. It's possible on this fan you can do it without jacking the car up. You can actually reach the bottom bolt of the fan from the top, but this is the easiest way. Locate your 10mm bolt right here. Up top there are two 10mm bolts here and here. I'm just going to fast-forward here as we remove those two top bolts.

This is the clip that holds the harness in, and this is your connector with the flat blade screwdriver pocket. Just give a little pry on the tail, and then it should come right up. When you install the fan make sure your harness is out of the way, and when you pull it down make sure the bottom one you can see it from up here is on the outside or toward the engine of the radiator strap. Just speed up here.

We start with the two bolts in, just make sure you don't cross-thread them and then tighten them up. Reinstall the connector, and reinstall the lower bolt. Again, it is possible to reach this bolt from the top, although it is easier to let that pan down and reach it from the bottom. Just tighten it up. If you did take the splash pan down just reinstall it with the 10mm bolts.
