In this video we'll be showing you how to replace the air filter in a GM minivan. This is a '99 Chevy Venture. It's basically the same as any '98 to '05 Venture, Montana, Silhouette. We're looking at the driver's side of the engine compartment. Your air filter is right down here. You'll see two latches. One here and one kind of up in here. This is flexible so you can stick your finger in there and unlatch those. Then, what you want to do is take this whole thing and pull it out and then up. You can see right in here. Here's your filter coming out already. What you want to do, try to do, is hold your filter in and push out on this whole assembly and rotate it up. Then your air filter kind of come down. I'm basically just pushing this way on all this plastic. It just takes a little bit of working here. Getting the right angle.
There's your filter up and out. This is just kind of a video mule vehicle so I'm going to put the filter back in. We do sell the Cannon style filters, which are good filter. They have a lifetime warranty which covers their extra cost. They offer you a little bit of a performance gain as well. To put your filter back in, just put it down like this and twist it into place. Make sure you get it all pressed against the intake system. Okay, and this again. You want to kind of push it. Again, I'm pushing out as I rotate it down. Just pulling this radiator hose out. Then there's teeth on the bottom so you want to make sure that you're pushing the bottom towards the air filter and then down and then bring it against then re-latch your two latches. You're all set.
