In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the battery on this 2005 Ford Focus. The only tools that you're going to need for this are a 10mm and 13mm socket and a ratchet.
On your battery cover, there is a tab here and then another one right here. Pull out on them and lift the cover up and off. Right here, there is a 13mm bolt. Just go ahead and remove that. Once that's removed, your battery mount will lift up and out. Next, loosen up these two 10mm bolts on these clamps. Now, pull both of those clamps free and be sure to not let the negative one touch anything until the positive one is also removed and just set those aside.
Now, take the new battery, and put it down into place. Put the clamps back on and tighten up these two 10mm bolts. Now, replace your battery mount and tighten up that 13mm bolt. Now, take your battery cover and push it back down into place, and you're all set.
