Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace your battery on this 2002 Suzuki Xl7. The only tool that you're going to need for this is a 10mm socket and ratchet.

You want to start off by removing this 10mm nut and loosening this one. We'll just fast-forward as Don does this. Next, you want to loosen up your battery cables and pull them free. First, loosen up the negative and pull it free. Then do this for the positive. For both of those you just want to use your 10mm socket. Now move that bracket to the side and lift your battery up and out.

Now to clip in your bracket for the battery, after you install the battery, you just want to clip that right into that hole. Lower your battery into place and then replace that bracket as we just showed you. Now you want to reclip the rod on the opposite side and push the bracket down over it. Then replace that 10mm nut, and we'll just fast-forward as Don tightens both of those up. Now re-clip your positive battery cable and tighten it up. Then re-clip your negative battery cable and tighten that up. You're all set.
