New Blower Motor Module from 1AAuto.com How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a bad or broken blower motor fan speed resistor on 12 Nissan Rogue
Flat Blade Screwdriver
Phillips Head Screwdriver
Hi. I'm Mike from 1AAuto. We've been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
The blower resistor is located up near the firewall and held in with two Phillips head screws, and the electrical connection. It's hard to get my fingers in there to hold the lock, so I'm going to use a small flat-bladed screwdriver. Push the lock in. Get the connector out.
It's really hard to see where the lower screw is. I’m just kind of doing it by feel. There it is. Get that screw in there. Get that screw loose. I'm going to grab onto the blower resistor, and pull it right out. Have to wiggle it past that little black piece, and then we can pull it right out.
So here's your blower motor resistor. There are little fins in there to cools off the electronics. Plastic cover piece. It's only going to go in one way, so this would be the top, and this is the bottom, because the push connector was on this part.
I'm just going to reach up and reinstall it. I’m going to install the upper screw. It’s easier to see. Get this one started. It's just self-tapping, so it's going to go into plastic. As soon as you feel it gets tight, you can stop, and install the bottom one in. I’m going to reinstall the electrical connector. It'll snap, and it's locked in place.
