Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video we're going to show you how to replace the cabin air filter on this 2002 Suzuki XL-7. The only item you're going to need for this is a new cabin air filter from 1AAuto.com.
Underneath your glove box, you'll see this tab right here. Just pull out on it. Now, open up your glove box, push in the sides, and pull it down. There's a similar tab right up here. Just pull it off. Now your cabin air filters will just pull right out.
On the left, are the old ones; on the right, are the new ones from 1A Auto. You can they're identical and will mount exactly the same. Clearly there was a change needed. Just put this tab up and then slide this one down. Then, take the air filter that says "up" on it, and with the tab at the top, slide it in. Now, reclip that cover. Push in the sides of your glove box and push it back into place. Reclip that lower tab, and you're all set.
