Here are the items you'll need for this repair: 10mm socket, ratchet, socket extension
Loosen and remove the 10 millimeter hold down bolt for the water pump pipe. Do this with a 10 millimeter socket ratchet and extension. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the coolant temp sensor and the EGR by lifting up on the tab and unplugging them. You can now remove the two 10 millimeter bolts, one at the bottom here and one opposite it in the top right corner of the 1:00 position. You can now remove the EGR valve from the vehicle.
Make sure your gasket is off. Ours just fell off when we undid it so make sure you find that. If there's anything still stuck to the mating service, make sure to remove that. Install your new gasket and setup a bolt. This will just make it easier to line everything up.
Install the EGR along with the new gasket. Just want to make sure that that gasket doesn't come out of place. We need to do some fine tuning. You can now tighten down the two 10 millimeter bolts, reconnect your electrical connectors, and reinstall the 10 millimeter hold down bolt for the water pump too.
