How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a dirty, dusty or clogged engine air filter on 08 Honda Civic
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
To change your air filter, undo the locks. Lift up the air box just like this, and kind of roll it over. Be very careful, because this is the wiring for your mass airflow meter. You don't want to break those. Remove the air filter.
This one's pretty clean. We're not going to change it. If this was really dirty and filled with dirt, then you want to change it usually once a year. While this is open, I'm just going to reach in and pull out these pine needles that have got stuck in here, some styrofoam.
The air filter mounts only one way. The wide part goes towards the bottom. It sits on top. Take our air box cover, slide it back into place. There's a tab here that needs to line up with that metal tab there. Get that started in the opening, slide it back. It should sit down nice and solid. Replace the locks, and that's how you change the air filter.
