How to replace a cracked, broken, or loose rear interior dome light on 12 Chevy Equinox

step 1 :Removing the Dome Light
- Pry from behind the map light assembly trim
- Press the tab behind the dome light
- Release the dome light
- Pull the bulb out of the socket

step 2 :Installing the Dome Light
- Press the bulb into the dome light
- Press the dome light into the map light assembly trim
- Press the trim into place

To replace the dome lights, or map lights, on this 2012 Equinox, you just need this trim removal tool. Easy access pick up at 1A Auto. Just put your fingers in firmly and pull. Once you've pulled this down, you can see in there, there's a little tab. Push it back gently, and you can lift this up.
You can access the bulb. The dome light bulb is a 194, and to pull it out, you just grasp and pull.
