Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the grille on this 2005 Ford F150. The items that you'll need for this include a new grille from 1AAuto.com, Phillips screwdriver, and a 10mm socket and ratchet.

There are two 10mm bolts on either side, and then this series of 10mm nuts along the top of the grille here. Just spray each of those with some penetrating oil. Then we'll fast-forward as Mike removes those. You can see we've gotten the nuts off of most of them. The stud is just spinning with the nut. If your grille's broken you're probably not that worried about it. What you have to do is break off the grille in front to hold that stud. We'll show you that. We have to pull out on this and break it off so we can get to that back side of that nut. Remove any plastic that stays clipped on. Then clip your locking pliers onto that stud. Then just remove the nut. Lift the grille up and off.

Then, to remove the emblem, on the back side you want to remove these two 10mm nuts. It's the best odds for success for getting your emblem out without breaking it. You can see we already broke ours. We were trying not to break the grille insert, but really the best way to get it out without breaking your grille or your emblem is to bend these tabs way up and then the emblem will come off. We're going to go with the champagne-colored insert with the chrome surround.

At 1A Auto, we carry a variety of different grilles, and this is also the three-bar-style grille. We carry just a black that you could paint to match, chrome surrounds, and we also carry the black insert with the chrome surround.

Before you install, you'll want to just loosen up these four screws just to give some flexibility on these braces. Lift it up into place and line up those studs. I'm just getting a little bit of pressure up. We'll fast-forward. I'm going to put all the nuts onto the studs first, as well as thread in the four 10mm bolts. Then I'll tighten up the nuts that hold the grille to the hood first, and then tighten up the four bolts that hold it on the other side. Then make sure we also tighten up the four screws.

We're just going to replace our old emblem since our old one broke. We just have a new one from 1A Auto. Remove the adhesive and just push either your new or your old emblem into the grille.

Once you've pushed it into place, just start those two 10mm nuts by hand, and then tighten them up. Then you're all set.
