How To Replace Front Radiator Grille 1995-2019 GMC Savana

If your van is in need of a new grille then you'll want to check out this video. We walk you through the process step by step.

step 1 :Removing the Grille
- Remove the two 10mm bolts along the top of the grille
- Pry out the side marker light with a flat blade screwdriver
- Disconnect the wiring harnesses
- Remove the 10mm bolt behind the light
- Repeat the process for the other side
- Grab on to the grille and pull out to remove it from the locking tabs
- Remove the grille

step 2 :Replacing the Emblem
- Press in on the tabs behind the emblem
- Push the emblem in place on the new grille

step 3 :Installing the Grille
- Lift the grille into place
- Push in the grille along the clips
- Insert the two 10mm bolts behind the side marker light
- Connect the wiring harnesses
- Push the side marker light in place
- Remove the 10mm bolts along the top of the grille

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the grille on this 2005 GMC Savana. It's the same process on the Savanas from 2003 to 2011. The only tools you'll need are a 10mm socket and ratchet and a flat blade screwdriver.
First thing you want to do is remove these two 10mm bolts at the top of the grille. We'll fast-forward as he removes those. Now, what you want to do is stick a small flat blade screwdriver into the side of the light there, and you just push in that tab and pull the light out. Then, what you want to do is disconnect those harnesses by pulling up on the tabs. Then, inside, behind the light, there's a 10mm bolt. You just want to remove that. We'll just fast-forward as he repeats the process on the other side.
Now, what you want to do is grab onto the grille and just pull out those tabs. You want to do the same thing along the bottom of the grille. Once all those clips are free, the grille should just pull free. Now, you're going to want to remove this emblem for your new grille. Just press in those tabs on the back of the grille, and you can see it releases that emblem. Push your emblem onto your new grill.
In this case, we're just going to use the old grille because it's in good condition. Now, what you want to do is line up the clips around the grille on the body of the van. You want to make sure you pull those harnesses through for your parking lights. Once you have that lined up, just push the clips in. We'll fast-forward now as he replaces the 10mm bolts around the grille. You have two behind the parking lots, and then two along the top.
Now, what you want to do is plug in your parking light. Just reconnect those harnesses, then push the inside of the light in first and push in that clip on the outside. We'll fast-forward as he does the same thing on the other side.
