How to find your fuse box and change your fuses on 11 Toyota Prius
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
So, check your under hood fuses. Under this panel here. Push the lock in. Pull the cap right off. It's only got two tabs in the back. Then on the inside of it is listed all of the fuses under the hood. So this, when you're looking at this it exactly, this diagram is just like looking at the fuse panel like this.
So, when you're trying to find a fuse, you simply hold it and match it up. So, if we're looking for the turn signal and hazard fuse, which is a 10 amp fuse, we can find this 20 amp one at the top and it's the ten amp one that's the second one down. So, it would be this one right here, as an example.
If you need to remove the fuses from the fuse panel, and you don't have access to some needle nose pliers, there's a fuse puller right here. Reach in and grab it. That's a little tool that helps you remove the fuses. So, let's say, for example, you want to remove and replace that fuse, you'd just take it and push right in here, squeeze it together, and pull the fuse right out. You can inspect it. This fuse is in perfect shape. The little loop is not broken, so this fuse is not burnt out.
Then, to reinstall it, just push it back in the original place, and make sure that's seated in there. Now, going to put the tool back. It sits right over here. Then replace the cover. Capture these two notches at the top, just like that. Then push the lock down. Interior fuse panel, follow the dash down just above the parking brake lever for your foot. It's right up here. It's this white panel.
To open, we're going to push on this tab and just pull it down. Probably pop it right off. And again, it's got the fuse diagram right on it. It's going to match, just as if you were looking at it, just like that. So, all of your fuses are marked here on the panel cover. If you get something that's not working, just locate it on this fuse panel and then, match it up where it is here and check it for a blown fuse. To reinstall the cover, hook the back of it first. And then, lock it in place.
