This video shows you how to install a new gas door spring on your 2007-16 GMC Acadia.
7mm Socket
Ratchet
Needle nose pliers
Trim Tool Set
Take the gas cap off first then take a 7-millimeter socket. And these three screws, take those out. And then very carefully, you don't want to scratch the paint, if you take a trim tool, just raise up on the bottom of this, it'll unclip. Just like that, you can do the same with the top. You could put a piece of masking tape if you don't want to scratch it. Just like that, and slide it out. There's a clip there, a clip there, and you can just take some needle-nose pliers and just squeeze right behind this spring. There's two clips, one on the top, one on the bottom. And just slide it out. There's those clips. If you just squeeze those, slides out. All right. Now take the new spring and just line it up, lock it in place. Now, I'll just take this cover, just line the filler neck up and just clip it in. Now could put those three screws in, get them all started first, and then tighten them down. I'm going to take the gas cap, tighten it back down, you're good to go.
