Do not cut the clips with the wire cutters
step 1 :Removing the Grille
- Pry up the four clips from the grille with a flat blade screwdriver
- Pry up the four clips from the grille with wire cutters
- Pull the grille up and out
- Remove the Ford badge from the grill with a flat blade screwdriver

step 2 :Installing the New Grille
- Clip the Ford badge onto the new grille
- Insert the pins from the grille into the bumper
- Replace the four clips by hand

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the grille on this 2001 Ford Taurus. It's the same part and similar process on these Taurus cars from 2000 to 2003.The items you'll need for this is includes a new grille from 1AAuto.com, a flat blade screwdriver and a pair of wire cutters.
To start off, you want to remove these four clips along the top of your grille. The easiest way to do that is to pry them off with the flat blade screwdriver. Then use wire cutters, just slide them underneath the clip. Then you don't cut the clip, you just pry up with the wire cutters. This will pull the clip up and out. We'll fast-forward as Don repeats the process on the other three clips. Now just pull the grille straight up and out. You want to remove this badge, it's a long front of your grille. Just pry out the tabs and pull it free. On the bottom is the old grille; above it is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical, and they're going to fit exactly the same.
Take the badge and push it into place on your new grille. Then push those two pins down into those two holes. Then just tilt the top of the grille back. Replace those four clips. Once you've done that, you're all set.
