step 1 :Removing the Side Marker Lights
- Remove the Phillips head screw from the top of the side marker light
- Pull the side marker light forward and out
- Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise out of the side marker light
- Remove the other side marker light by the same procedure

step 2 :Removing the Grille
- Pull the grille from underneath the headlights on each side
- Separate the grille clips with a flat blade screwdriver
- Pull the grille forward and off

step 3 :Installing the New Grille
- Push the new grille into place
- Push in the grille clips
- Make sure the clips are all locked

step 4 :Reinstalling the Side Marker Light
- Twist the bulb socket clockwise into the side marker light
- Push the side marker light into place using the locating tabs
- Insert the Phillips screw into the top of the side marker light
- Reinstall the other side marker light by the same procedure

In this video, we're going to show you how to remove and reinstall the front grille on this 2002 Toyota Tacoma. It's pretty easy process, the only tools you'll need are a Phillips screwdriver and a long flat blade screwdriver.
With your the hood open, there's a Phillips screw right here on top. We're going to remove that. Once that's removed, you can pull your light. Pull this up. Pull your parking light forward and then reach in behind and just twist counter clockwise on the socket. You want to repeat removing that side marker from the other side of the vehicle as well.
Now, below the headlight, just reach in and pull firmly. Then these clips, you actually . these two came apart. You just reach down in, and there's a tab right here. You press on that tab and that releases each clip. Release those ones first and there's three down below, so you need a long screwdriver. There's one way down in here. Pull from the bottom, here, and then reach way down in here, and grab that tab. Pull the one in the middle. Grab that and pull. Then the third one over here was already let go and there's your grill off.
For reinstallation, it's going to be pretty simple. Make sure it goes in, underneath, and you push that side in. Push the opposite side in. Then, make sure your tabs line up in here. Make sure the lower ones go in. Give it a good extra push. Make sure it's locked in there.
Line in these two tabs. There's one up here and one down here that goes into the grill. Make sure that lower one goes in. Make sure this goes underneath. Make sure that one's going in, push it in, lock it right in. Make sure you can see the hole in the headlight and put your screw in. You repeat this from the other side, you're all set.
