How to repair, install, fix, change or replace the broken, damaged, cracked, faded, cloudy, or chipped headlights on 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Volkswagen, Jetta
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
When changing the low beam bulb, there is a cap on the back here. We're going to twist, twist off, remove, and then there is a black tab attached to the head light bulb itself.
To remove the bulb, you're going to grab the bulb at the round base, and not the metal clip that's on the bottom. Going to pull up, and it should pop right out of the clip. If you place your new bulb back in, then to place it back in, you want to put it into the housing, the way it came out. After you finish putting the bulb back into the housing, we take our cap, place it back in to its socket.
To change the high beam bulbs, we're going to remove the rubber cap just by pulling back. There's a plastic fitting on the back of the bulb, just twist to pop it off. There's going to be some wires in the way. You don't want to get them from out from around the housing. Grab the base of the bulb to remove, and place your new bulb back into place. Take the wires that you pulled out of the way, loop them back around, and place the bulb back into the housing.
Take your rubber seal, pop it back on, and you're good. The procedure for the driver's side headlight is exactly the same. You can see the cover here for the low beam, and the rubber cover here for the high beam, nothing needs to be taken out to access these bulbs.

The difference between tapered bearings and roller ball bearings. If you have a truck or large car, tapered bearings are the better choice. TRQ offers tapered bearings for these models, when other brands use roller ball bearings
