In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the fan blower switch on this '95 Accord, same as any '94 to '97 Accord and similar to other Honda models.
Tools you'll need are a small, regular screw driver and both a short and a regular Phillips screw driver. No need to remove this entire panel. It's actually quite easy. There are three switches you have to pull out and you do that by either a small screw driver, put it underneath, and pry out. They usually have little fun toggles here and over here. Now, in behind your defrost switch, you can see there's a little screw hole right there. This is the dash that have been pulled apart and broken but there's probably a Phillips screw you need to take out of there, and then there's also one, you can see the Phillips screw right there. You need to remove those two screws. Obviously on this car, just going to be removing to one.
Next, you'll need a short screw driver and this car has two Phillips screws. They may be Torx screws; they may be something a little different. Not sure but like I said on this car, it's Phillips screws and they're right up under here. Then once the screws are removed, you just carefully there are clips all along here so you pull out. You can pull this down after you screw them out. When you pull this out, you're going to reach in behind and there's two connectors. They both have I think you press and you pull out, press and pull out. You take your Phillips screw driver again. There's a screw right here that you remove when a clip comes along with it. Okay, then you take this cable up, out, around and up. Then you hold some of these off.
How to change your fan control switch, you're going to flip it over and there's two screws right here. Then once you remove those screws, the switch just pulls right out and obviously they'll fill when the knob pulls off. Okay. Here we got a switch, new switch from 1aauto. New switch is going to bolt in there just the same. You can only put the switch in one way. The rounded edge here goes close to where this is. Put those screws and snug and you're all set. Then now, you can put this back together.
Let's start by putting this cable back on. Okay. We ended up around this way first. Slide it on and then pull it around and push it in. Then your little clip and screw here. Okay. Now, you want to make sure you reconnect your wires. This one, you want to go up and over the cable and then connect it, kind of slide it in there. Make sure you can see the harnesses; pull those through for these three switches. Okay. Then, push the panel in. Okay. I've got one screw here because my car's a little messed up but you want to install this crew. Then this one over here, your two upper screws, push that a little bit. Defrost switch, plug in, push in. Your instrument panel dimmer switch, plug in, push in. Then your cruise and moon roof switch, if you have the moon roof and you're all set.
