In this video, we show you how to replace the hood struts on this 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, same as a '99 to '04. Big problem, if your hood is not staying up when you want it to and the only tool you'll need is a small flat blade screw driver. Okay. While your jeep's have this problem, lift up the hood, doesn't want to stay up.
Really easy problem to fix. Just need a small screw driver, hold your hood up, there's a little room right here, you pry a clip down. Pry a clip down, pull that off. Okay. Same thing down further here. You could probably just force that one off. Okay. Cut right off and then take your new one, out it on there. Okay. Put it on there. Even with one now ...Okay and repeat it for the other side. Put down, pull off, pull off like that, put your new one on, twist it a little bit, make sure the clip goes up in there and your hood goes up, stays up and then comes down when you want it to.
