Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and the next time you need a part for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video we're going to show you how to replace the hood supports on this 2006 Jeep Liberty. We show you on the passenger side, but it's the same procedure on the driver's side. The only items you need for this is new hood supports from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver. The hood support's held on with two clips. There's one right here and one on the other end.
Have a helper hold up the hood while you pry out on those clips and pull the support off. Once the clips pried out, you just want to pry that off that stud, and you want to do the same thing to the top one. On the right is the old hood support. On the left is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and will mount exactly the same. To replace them you just push them into place, and you're all set.
