How to replace a broken, damaged or burnt out license plate bulb to the 11 Ford Explorer

step 1 :Removing the License Plate Bulb
- Press the tab on the license bulb housing
- Turn the housing to the left and remove it from the socket
- Pull the bulb off the socket

step 2 :Installing the License Plate Bulb
- Press the bulb to the socket
- Turn the socket clockwise into the bulb housing
- Press the housing into place

Just going to take a straight blade screwdriver, and over on this side, there's a little latch right here. Push the latch in. We can take this assembly out. Just going to twist it to the left. Grab the bulb and pull it out.
We'll take the new bulb. Line it up with the slot. Make sure it goes in there good. There we go. We'll take the lens. Slide it back on. Twist it to the right. Line this up here, and snap it back in place. And now the bulb is working perfectly fine.
