How to Replace License Plate Light 2000-07 Ford Focus

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the license plate light on this 2005 Ford Focus. The only items you'll need for this is a new license plate light from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.

Pry out your license plate light with a flat blade screwdriver and service the bulb. It just pulls right out. Then, you just push your new one into place. To change the whole assembly, just pull these two harnesses free.

On the left is the old license plate light. On the right is the new one from 1A Auto. You can see they're identical and they'll fit exactly the same. Take your bulb and push it into your new license plate light, and reconnect those two harnesses. Push your license plate light back up into place. If it doesn't snap in, check behind it and make sure the harnesses aren't getting in the way. Once it pops in, you're all set.
