step 1 :Removing the Window Crank
- Slide the window crank tool between the window crank and the washer
- Push the window crank clip off with the window crank tool
- Pry off the window crank handle
- If you do not have a window crank tool, continue to Step 2

step 2 :Removing the Window Crank Handle without the Window Crank Tool
- Fashion a paper clip into a hook using pliers
- Hook the window crank clip with the paper clip
- Pull out the window crank clip
- Pull off the window crank

step 3 :Reinstalling the Window Crank
- Push on the window crank
- Push in the window crank clip

The easiest way is the proper tool to get this handle off. You put it in here. There's actually a washer in behind the handle so you want to make sure that the tool goes between the handle and the washer. You can push it on the door handle a little bit. Move that over there. Then you push and that pushes the clip off and then the handle and washer come off and then you'll want to reset the clip. Push it right in.
If you don't have one of those tools, what you can do is take a regular paper clip, bend it like that, and grab a very small part of the end. Make a little hook in it. Put our handle back on here with the clip. The clip should be . the round end of it should be always on this end. What you do is take the hook of the paper clip, put it in there. Try to put it in as straight as you can and kind of push into the handle like that a little bit. Push it in there. Pull that hook out and your handle comes off. You've got to kind of force it in there, twist it to engage that hook, and then pull it out. Here's a close up. So here's how your handle is on the door. When you press your handle, press it towards the door like this. That will actually open up your washer a little bit. Then you put this down in here and I'll kind of show you. What you're looking to do is put this down in and then hook it like that and then pull straight out. You can see it pulls the clip right up. If you pull hard enough, it will pull the thing right out. Just watch where the clip goes when it comes out.
