How to remove, install, fix, change or replace a broken Mass Airflow Sensor / Meter on 14 Nissan Versa
Phillips Head Screwdriver
7mm Socket
Ratchet
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
To pop the hood, use the little lever right here to the left of the instrument panel. Pop it up, and now we're going to release the safety. It's a little lever here. Push it to the passenger's side. Lift up the hood. Pop rod is over here. Install it right there.
Going to disconnect the connector on the mass airflow sensor. Push down on this little tab and pull the connector up, just like that. Take the 7mm socket and extension and a ratchet, and take these bolts out. You can also use a Phillips head screwdriver. Just get it loose so you can do it by hand. Get that little bolt out. Take the next bolt out. Be careful not to drop them. And grab the mass airflow sensor and slide it out. Just like that.
Here's our old mass airflow sensor. Here's our new mass airflow sensor from 1AAuto.com. The body is very similar. Has all the same shapes. The connector is all the same. Get yours at 1AAuto.com and be ready to rock and roll.
Insert the new one in the same location. You want these little tabs going towards the front of the vehicle. Take our bolts, little 7mm bolts, and be careful not to drop them. Get that started. Same with this one. Take our 7mm socket and extension and ratchet. We'll snug them up. Just like that. Take the connector, line it up, and then lock it in place.
