Hi, I'm Mike from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we show you how to replace the driver's side master window switch on this 2003 Honda CRV. It is a pretty easy repair. The tools you'll need include a flat blade screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, and a new replacement switch from 1AAuto.com.
If you're having issues with your power windows working, they might work with this switch but not with the other switches. Obviously, you want to make sure that this lock out button this button when it's activated doesn't allow the other switches to work. But what can happen is this connection gets shorted out and then the windows only work from this switch and they don't work from the other ones. Another thing that can happen is they do work from the other switches but they don't work from this one. That usually means that this switch has been shorted out.
You pry gently right under that corner and it comes up. Then you put your screwdriver in. Pry gently on the outside here in the front. Lift this panel up and reach underneath. There's a button right here for your mirror switch. Press that button, undo the mirror switch, and then there's also the same thing in your window switch. There's a button that you can reach from the front, here. It's actually green. Press that button. Here's that block. There's a button the button is right here. You just got to press it. Get your hand in there, press that button, and it will work.
Pry the panel off. On the backside, there are three Phillips screws that hold the switch to the plate. Just fast-forward here as I remove those three Phillips screws. Now the switch comes off. New switch from 1A Auto is just like the old switch. Put it right in place. Use your original screws. Start them in place first, and then tighten them up. Fast-forward again, here. Like I said, I start the screws in first and then tighten them up with the Phillips screwdriver. It looks like they're on there nice and snug. Now connect your main harness. Bring this rear harness up, and you connect that. Push down into place.
