If the mirror switch is broken, learn how to do this quick and easy repair yourself with this how-to video
What's up, guys? I'm Andy from 1A Auto. In this video, I'm going to show you how to replace the mirror switch on this 2010 Toyota RAV4. If you need parts for your vehicle, click the link in the description and head over to 1AAuto.com.
Just take a straight blade screwdriver or a trim tool, just pry underneath on the side of this panel right here. There's two clips right there, there, and two on the other side. Disconnect the connectors right here. Just use the screwdriver or use your finger, and then push on this button, as well. Pull that connector out. Now just take a pocket screwdriver right here, this little tab, just push down on that tab. Push the mirror switch right out.
Take this, and we're just going to slide this into this housing, and the mirror switch actually goes upside down so that when it's in position you can read it from the driver's perspective. Take the connectors and reconnect the connector there. Reconnect the auxiliary connector. Lock it in place. Take this housing, line it up, lock it down.
