How to Replace Power Mirror Switch 1995-2007 Ford Ranger

How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a damaged, worn out, faulty or shorted power window switchon 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07 Ford Ranger

  1. step 1 :Removing the Power Mirror Switch
    • Remove the two Phillips screws in the door pull
    • Remove the panel from the door handle
    • Press the tabs and push the mirror switch out of the panel
    • Disconnect the connector
    • Remove the switch
  2. step 2 :Installing the Power Window Switch
    • Connect the connector
    • Press the switch into the panel
    • Press the panel into place
    • Tighten the Phillips screws to the door pull

In this video we're going to be working with our 2001 Ford Ranger. We're going to show you how to remove and replace the power mirror switch, which is located in your driver's door. Here are the items you'll need for this repair: Phillips screwdriver, and a flat blade screwdriver.

Open your door. Remove the two Phillips head screws below the door handle. Open the door handle and release this panel from the door. To remove your power mirror switch, push down on the tabs that retain it into the panel, and push it through. You can now more easily access the retainers for the electrical connector, which we'll pry out carefully with a flat blade screwdriver. Remove the connector from the switch.

Reconnect the electrical connector. Line up your switch into the opening and push it in until it clicks. Line up this panel into your door. Snap the clips back into place, and reinstall the two Phillips head screws under the door handle.
