How to remove, replace and install power mirror switches on Chevy Impala, model years 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, and 12.

step 1 :Removing the Mirror Switch
- Pry off the trim piece inside the door pull with a flat blade screwdriver
- Remove the two T30 Torx screws inside the door pull
- Pry up the window switch pane with a flat blade screwdriver
- Disconnect the window switch wiring harnesses
- Pry the mirror switch out of the switch panel with a flat blade screwdriver

step 2 :Installing the Mirror Switch
- Push the mirror switch into the switch panel
- Connect the window switch wiring harnesses
- Push in the window switch panel
- Insert the two T30 Torx screws into the door pull
- Push the trim piece into the door pull

In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the power mirror switch on this 2006 Chevy Impala, pretty much the same for any 2006 to 2012 Impala. The only tools you'll need are a small flat blade screwdriver and a T30 Torx driver.
In the inner door handle, you'll find a little rubber mat. Use a little pocket screwdriver and pull that out. Then beneath that, you're going to find two Torx 30 screws. Use a Torx 30 bit, and socket wrench and driver. I'll be using an extension as well to get down to those. We're going to remove those. Once you have those out use a little small pocket screwdriver and pry up on that black plastic housing, there, that holds the handle and the switch pack assembly. You're going to find three connectors. Remove the three connectors by pressing in on the tabs and pulling them out.
You can use a small screwdriver and there are three tabs that hold the mirror switch in. You need to carefully work your screwdriver between the bezel and the switch, and get those tabs released. We're also pressing on the top side of the switch with our finger there as we pry. Then you work the switch loose.
Then, obviously, the new switch goes right in the opposite way. Plug the three connectors back into the master switch pack, into your power mirror switch. Set the handle and switch pack assembly back in, and start to reinstall your Torx 30 screws. Reinstall those Torx 30 screws; tighten them down. Then place that mat back on top of them.
