In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the master power window switch on this Olds Intrigue, the same as any '98 to '02 Intrigue. These switches can get shorted out by getting wet. Also the switch that controls the lock-out can malfunction, causing the windows to be locked out all the time. The only tool you'll need is a flat blade screwdriver.

To pull this panel up in the back, pull carefully, lightly, and it slides out of the front. Underneath here is your switch, and two tabs. Pull up with your thumb and pull off that lead. Do the same thing here. Pull up with your thumb. Pull off that lead. Then you just need to carefully use a flat blade screwdriver. Pry out on the bezel. As you pry one side up, lift the switch out, some. I'm pressing on the buttons just to lift it up and out. Do the same thing on this side. It comes right out. The new switches from 1A Auto. These can get wet and shorted out. Also the lock switch can sometimes go bad. The new switch from 1A Auto, they go right in. Reverse the procedure. Put it in place. The harnesses are going to connect right directly. Put the wire back. Slide the tab up in front first. Press it down and in.
