Hi, I'm Don from 1A Auto. I hope this how-to video helps you out, and next time you need parts for your vehicle, think of 1AAuto.com. Thanks.
In this video, we're going to show you how to replace the rear glass supports on this 2006 Jeep Liberty. We show you on the passenger side, but it's the same process for the driver side. The only items you'll need are new rear glass lift supports from 1AAuto.com and a flat blade screwdriver.
Start off by opening you rear window, and if it opens like this, it means your supports have gone bad. It's held on with two clips: one here and one at the top. To remove those, you just pry out the clip and pull the support off. You want to prop up your window or have someone hold it, and then, pry out the lower clip and pull that end of the support off.
Up front, we have the new one from 1AAuto; in the back, is the old one, and you can see they're identical and they're going to mount exactly the same. Now, take your new one and just push it onto those studs, and then you're all set. Just test it out, and that's how it should open.
