How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a weak or sagging hood or hatch strut on 00 Nissan Pathfinder.

step 1 :Removing the Struts
- Use a 90° pick and remove the strut from it ball-stud
- Use a 10 mm socket to remove the bracket at the other end
- To remove it from the bracket, use a pick and pry the plastic cover open
- Then remove the bracket

step 2 :Reinstalling the Struts
- Line up the struts
- Snug up the 10 mm bolt
- Insert the strut back onto its ball-stud

To take the lift glass struts outs, have a friend support this lift glass or use something to support the glass.
Take a 90 degree pick, slide it in here and I'll pull that out. And we'll take a 10 millimeter socket and a ratchet, take this nut off here. And then this one down here.
This is the way to take off the bracket if you wanted to replace the bracket and lift glass strut. To get this off you can actually just use a 90 degree pick just like you did on the bottom.
To reinstall this we're going to slide this over the studs. Take our nuts, slip the nuts on. Tighten these down. Snug them down with our ratchet and then we'll reinstall this on the stud.
