How to repair, install, fix, change or replace a damaged, bent, or failing windshield wiper arm on 11 Toyota Prius.
Socket Extensions
10mm Socket
Ratchet
Hi, I’m Mike from 1A Auto. We’ve been selling auto parts for over 30 years!
To remove this cap on the rear wiper, you could go this way. It doesn't move that much so clip it down, hold the two sides apart gently and lift it up. It lifts off. And you have access to the nut that's under here. All the little spider egg nests. And remove the nut holding onto the rear wiper arm. Use a 10 millimeter socket extension ratchet. Hold onto the wiper arm. Break it free. This one came lose pretty easily. Lift up on the arm. Rock it back and forth. It'll come off of the wiper motor.
Reinstall the wiper arm. There's lines here. They'll kind of line up as you put it on but you also want to line it up where it was originally. See where that dust mark was. That should be good there. Install the nut. Tighten it down. If I feel like it tight I'll stop. I don't want to break the motor off the shaft. Install the cap. It clips on the bottom, clips over the top, and snaps in place. Wiper arms are installed.
