step 1 :Removing the Side Mirror
- Pry off the triangle panel by the side mirror.
- Pull off the insulation
- Pull back on the connector tab to disconnect the harness.
- Remove the three 10mm nuts.
- Pull the mirror out and off the door.

step 2 :Replacing the Side Mirror
- Put the harness through the door.
- Line up the mirror and press it into place.
- Replace the three 10mm nuts.
- Reconnect the mirror harness.
- Replace the insulation.
- Push the triangle panel back into place.

In this video, we'll show you how to remove and reinstall a driver side power mirror which is basically the same procedure for the passenger side. This is for a 2003 Saturn Ion, same as any '03 to '07. Only tools you'll need are a flat blade screwdriver and a 10mm socket with a ratchet and extension. Also, a 10mm wrench would work.
Okay, to remove your mirror, you can just pull this panel off by hand or use a screwdriver carefully. It pops off. Right behind here, your mirror is connected. There's a little tab. Pull back on the tab. Disconnect the harness. Then there's three 10mm bolts. One here, then two here. There's your mirror out. Okay, our original is obviously in fine shape. Just doing this video to kind of show you. We'll reinstall it. Put the harness through first. Make sure it goes in place correctly. Okay, start these bolts. Be careful not to drop this one. Reconnect your harness. Make sure to put the insulation back in. Put the trim panel back on.
