Hi, I'm Mike Green. I'm one of the owners of 1A Auto. I want to help you save time and money repairing and maintaining your vehicle. I'm going to use my 20+ years experience restoring and repairing cars and trucks like this to show you the correct way to install parts from 1AAuto.com. The right parts installed correctly. That's going to save you time and money. Thank you, and enjoy the video.
In this video, we're replacing the tail light on this '07 Toyota Corolla, same as any '03 to '08 Corolla. The only tools you'll need is a screwdriver and a 10-mm wrench. And the tail lights in this video, we do sell. So visit us at 1AAuto.com, and get a nice, new replacement.
If you're just looking to remove the bulbs and change the bulbs in your light, you can do it just by pulling this little access panel back. Then you can get your fingers in here and twist and pull it off. And then there's your yellow blinker bulb. The other bulb's up here. But if you need to replace your whole tail light assembly because you had a little run in with something, you remove that one screw there. Going to pull your padding back, and there's three bolts, one, two, three. With a 10-mm, I'm going to remove those. Disconnect. There's a little tab here. The easiest way I've found to do it is to just get your screwdriver in there, push on the tab.
Once you have it unbolted and unplugged, you can pull the inside out first. Work it out. And then this little gasket kind of wants to some with it. There's our light, the new light from 1A Auto. You can see, this is the 1A Auto light. It's all the same. You do want to swap your bulbs over. And also our light does come with a new gasket, so you can remove this gasket. You want to use the new gasket, because it will seal out the water better. So I'm going to put this light back in because there's really nothing wrong with it. I'm just using it to show you how to do it. But you can see, our light's going to go in just like the original, and it even comes with a new gasket.
So then I'll just need to put the light back in, and put all the bolts back on. Okay, now you plug in the light, put this back on this little stud, and put this back in place. Push it all down into the gasket. Put your padding back on. Take this, just try and stuff the corners in.
We hope this helps you out. Brought to you by 1AAuto.com, your source for quality replacement parts and the best service on the internet. Feel free to call us toll free, 888-844-3393. We're the company that's here for you on the internet and in person. Thank you.
