In this video we're going to show you how to service the bulbs as well as replace the entire taillight assembly on this 2014 GMC Terrain, and the only tools that you're going to need for this is a flat blade screwdriver and a 10mm socket and ratchet. Start off by prying off these plastic caps with your flat blade screwdriver, and now remove the two 10mm bolts behind those caps.
Once those are removed, use either a pry tool or a flat blade screwdriver and just pry out the backside of the taillight and then it'll pull right off. Push the tab and disconnect the harness, and then to replace your bulb, you twist the socket, pull it out. The bulb pulls right out. Push your new one into place and twist the socket back into place. Reconnect your harness, and line up these two tabs, and push your new taillight back into place. Now replace those two 10mm bolts and those two plastic caps and you're all set.
