How to Replace Tail Lights 1994-2001 Dodge Ram 1500

step 1 :Remove the tail light assembly
- Open the tail gate
- Unbolt the two T25 screws anchoring the tail light assembly.
- Disconnect the wiring harness and remove the bulbs.
- Service your bulbs at this point or put your bulbs in the new tail light assembly.
step 2 :Install the tail light assembly
- Plug in the bulbs and wiring harness.
- Clip the tail light assembly into the vehicle.
- Replace the T25 Torx screws.
- Close the tail gate

In this video, I am going to show you how to replace a tail light on this 1998 Dodge Ram, the same as any 94 to 01. The only tool you will need is a T25 Torx bit with a ratchet and extension or a driver. So, if you open there are two T25 Torx screws. That's probably the hardest part about this; knowing what tool to use. So your taillight pulls out. Then, if you're just looking to change a bulb, just twist these off. Twist these off. If you're looking to change your taillight assembly, new ones from 1A Auto. The bulbs pull right out. Push back in.

Reassembly is just a reversal of the procedure. There are pins back here that line up with holes in the cork panel. Make sure you line everything up. Push it on. Reinstall your screws.
