step 1 :Remove the tail light
- Pop open the trunk.
- Flip open the access panel to service your bulbs.
- Remove the Phillips screw in your trunk accessory hook.
- Peel back the upholstery.
- Unbolt the three 10 mm nuts and disconnect the wiring harness.
- Remove the tail light from the vehicle.

step 2 :Install the new tail light
- Thread the wiring through the rear of the car and mount the tail light.
- Install the tail light by bolting down the three 10 mm bolts.
- Connect the wiring harness and bulbs.
- Replace the upholstery and secure with the Phillips screw and accessory hook.
- Close the trunk.

In this video, I'm going to show you how to remove and replace a taillight on this 2005 Toyota Camry same as most Camry's of this era. The only tools you'll need are a 10mm socket and ratchet or a wrench and a Phillips screw driver.
If you're just looking to change the light bulbs in your taillights, open up your trunk. There's a little access door in this insulation. You can see your lights. They just twist counterclockwise and pull out. Then, the bulbs come out and push back in. If you're looking to replace your taillight because it's been broken, you'll want to remove this Phillips screw here first. This little screw just pops out. I'll put it right up here. Then, this whole panel put your hand in behind. Push it out at the bottom and off. You just need to make yourself a little bit of room. Now, your trim here, you just have to pull it out and around that hook. Here, you can see one, two and three 10mm bolts. Then, right down here is your connector. You just push on this tab, then pull this up and out. Let's see if I can do it here. Okay, it's disconnected.
Once you remove those 10mm nuts, bring the inside out first. Then, it comes right out. Here is our original and the new light from 1A Auto. You can see the new light from 1A Auto is going to go in. It's got the correct plug and everything. It's going to fit right in there and fix your problem. This lights fine so I'm going to reinstall it in the car. Put the harness down through the lower hole. Start your outer one in first. If you look right down in, you can see easily. Start that one in and push the whole thing right in. Pull your insulation back and put the three 10mm nuts on. Okay, plug your harness back in. Put your insulation up in place. Then, you just hook it right around like that right there. You may want to bring this up. There are little pins in your plastic here so just pull it up and on. There should be a clip right down here. Then, we install this.
