You want to remove your tailgate. First we've got to bring it down and these tailgate cables, you can see better on this one. They have a little lock on them usually. You have to pull the lock up and use a screwdriver or something. Then you can pull the cable off. It's the same here with this one. Pull it off, and let it go. Now at this point, your tailgate is going to flop down. You don't want to let it do that. If you want to bring it up to about a 30 degree angle, then this hinge comes off. Grab your whole tailgate, okay, and it comes right off the truck.

To put it back on, I just put it right on the step bumper carefully. Come over here. I'm just looking at the hinge over here. Put it up and on. I'm pushing it against that side. Then lift up and lower it back on. Then you can bring it down, take your tailgate cable, and put it back in place. Take your tailgate cable, and put it back in place.
