In this video we're going to replace the taillights on this 2004 Ford Ranger. This is basically the same procedure for a 1993 on up. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver.
This is a 2004 Ford Ranger, the same as many years of Ranger. The taillight replacement is pretty easy. There are four screws, one, two and then on the outside three and four. Remove those. Once you have those screws out, it pulls off. The lower one you can turn and pull it out. This upper one you have to actually press this thumb tab and remove the connector. Then this part can come out and you can service it.
You can see the original light is from 1A Auto. It's all the same. It's a little nicer and shinier. Everything's going to mount the same and all that. This one's in good shape. We're going to put it back in. Obviously to put it in it's reversing the procedure. There's actually a little tab that goes in the slot right here. You want to tighten them but not too tight. They just need to be firm and snug. There you go.
